Dylan W. Greenwood founded Greenwood Law in his first year after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law. Dylan saw the need to provide exceptional legal representation, attentive to the needs of his clients. Even as Greenwood Law continues to grow, Dylan ensures those values remain at its core.
His practice areas include state and federal criminal defense, civil litigation, family law, and immigration. He is particularly adept at handling drug crimes, sex crimes, financial crimes, DWI, traffic, assaults, and domestic violence offenses. After having worked in the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Middle District of North Carolina, Dylan also maintains a federal practice attuned to his client’s specific needs in that realm.
Dylan has been named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in North Carolina and the United States. He also has garnered Top Ten Ranking with National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys and Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers. In addition to his decorated legal practice, Dylan serves his community in a variety of areas. He is an active board member of the Piedmont Opera, mentors Moot Court law students at the Wake Forest University School of Law, serves as a member of the American Inn of Court, Chief Justice Branch, and he has served on the Heart Ball committee for the American Heart Association.
Before practicing law, Dylan, a native of Winston-Salem, NC, was an Eagle Scout at the age of 12 and an honors graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School. Following graduation from Reynolds, he attended college at Virginia Tech as a Hillcrest Honors Student. A proud Hokie, Dylan earned two degrees, with honors, in Political Science and Economics while becoming a Rhodes Scholarship nominee.
When he is not focusing on the needs of his clients, Dylan spends most of his time with his wife, other family members, and friends. He and his wife enjoy going on adventures around the world and hiking. Dylan also enjoys golfing and skeet shooting.
