Kathryn H. Muhlenkamp is a North Carolina native who provides clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, long-term care and special needs planning.

Kathryn developed an interest in Estate Planning and Elder Law while participating in the Wake Forest University Elder Law Clinic. Kathryn discovered her passion for working with clients and boiling down legal concepts in a way that is simple and approachable. Kathryn brings this skill to all of her clients and takes pride in helping individuals plan for life events in a way that reflects their wishes and minimizes the burden on their families. Kathryn also enjoys working with growing families as they welcome children and prepare for the future.

Kathryn was in private practice in Winston-Salem before opening her own law firm in Alamance County in 2014. A year later, Kathryn moved her practice into an established estate planning firm in Orange County, working on large, taxable estates and sophisticated asset protection planning. Kathryn is happy to have returned to Winston-Salem with Greenwood Law after spending time abroad in France with her husband and hopes to offer all of her clients an experience that is caring, compassionate, efficient, and effective.

Kathryn is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law. She is a member of the Order of Barristers, National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and recipient of the National Advocates for Justice Award and Forsyth County Women Attorneys’ Association Book Award. Kathryn has been published in WealthCounsel Quarterly and the NC Bar Association’s Senior Citizens Handbook. While in law school, Kathryn competed on the National Moot Court team and Jessup International Moot Court team, served on the Board of Editors for the Wake Forest Journal of Law & Policy, as well as serving on the boards of the Veteran’s Advocacy Law Organization (VALOR) and the Pro Bono Project. Kathryn completed her undergraduate degree at Elon University where she studied political science and vocal performance.

Outside of the office, Kathryn is a trained soprano who teaches music and performs with local theatre companies. She enjoys pilates, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Cameron, and two dogs.
